When you create a software depot for a client image (Admin/Client) or a personal image (Admin/Personal) for a server/client deployment of SAS^® software, a Language Selections dialog box appears during the SAS Administrator Wizard portion of the process. This dialog box contains an entry called Unrecognized Language (u8).

By default, SAS installs UTF-8 encoding compatibility and the entry does not appear in the Language Selections dialog box. However, if the Unrecognized Language (u8) entry does appear, select that entry to ensure installation of the default settings for UTF-8 encoding compatibility.

This issue is projected to be fixed in a later release of SAS.
